I had to go to New Harmony yesterday for a meeting about our annual studio tour. I left early so that I could spend some time wandering the town and taking pictures for future collages. I came upon this. I had never noticed it before.

If New Harmony is the historic town that I am thinking about it was an interesting place to see. I visited it with my family on a road trip some years ago as we were driving across America to get to California. That quote sounds exactly like something they would promote, particularly after I Google’d the originator and his life.
Hi Agnes, and thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Yes, the original settlers were very much a Christian group. I am not sure how long this bench and plaque have been there. The quote looks to be from a priest from 2001 when I zoom in on the picture. It is a really neat small town.
